DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE:
 
This course is designed to explore assessment in education. Participants will explore different types of assessment, and explore interesting ways to use assessment, not only as a an end-point of learning, but rather as a vehicle to shape learning. While reading and engaging with current, interesting and thought-provoking texts, participants will connect the content with their own contexts and settings.
 
 
LEARNING OUTCOMES: 
 
Participants will:
Develop and deepen their understanding of assessment
Learn why and how we might want to use different types and different approaches to assessment
Explore Assessment strategies and actions to effectively shape learning, and offer opportunities for students to enhance their own agency in the learning process
 
COMPLETION
Although there are no specified due dates along the way, you have a total of 3 months to complete this course. You may expect about 20-25 hours of combined total engagement time throughout this professional learning course. When you complete the course, you’ll receive an email with a link to download your Record of Completion within 1 week of course completion.
